Does playing at outdoor play structure helps children learn about life?
At ancient times, our ancestors already got obsessions to doing a variety of sporting activities. Like Taiji and traditional sports like Kungfu, which are still popular in today's society. For thousands of years, people have never stopped playing sports in their lives. This reveals the importance of sports in people's whole life. Nowadays, people of all works are blessed with more diversified choices of games than ever, including children, the outdoor play structure give them the opportunity to engage in exercises to strengthen they bodies and minds. As far as I'm concerned, participating in various sports not only benefit children physically also teaches them about life.
Above all, playing sports teaches us an important truth that life is always in motion. This famous notion was first brought up by a French thinker named Voltaire. You may think it is a very simple phrase, but it is deep in meaning. The sun rises in the east and sets in the west day after day; rivers are flowing towards the sea; time is passing by without end; and all living creature are growing... Indeed, motion is the prerequisite of life, without which all living beings will perish and the whole universe will no longer exist. Children taking part in the sports in the outdoor play structure is exactly a way to go with the moving world.
In addition, people are taught to cooperate well with others while participating in team sporting events. Having the spirit of cooperation and be initiative to make interactions with others in the team is one of the most important characters that lead to success. While children are having fun in the outdoor play structure, they are in a large family, or a large team where all members share the common place and strive to make it a better place for all. It is exactly the process of such endeavor that children realize what team work is. Although all members are playing different roles, they are embracing the same goal to win.
Last but not least, playing sports reminds people of the importance of obeying rules and keeping to principles. There are general scoring rules for each sporting event. All players are supposed to follow the rules. The same is true for young children in the outdoor play structure, if they want to enjoy themselves and make friends, they have to obey rules and not to destroy things or behave badly. Otherwise it will not be easy for them to join the team and have fun with others while they are doing sports.
To sum up, the significance of sports has far exceeded its primary purpose for recreation and health. As a matter of fact, playing sports is such as educational activity that it helps people both physically and spiritually. Today's people are exactly in urgent need of sports to balance they life, and children need it to brighten their time in the outdoor play structure.
